Taylor

Taylor, our dedicated co-founder whose journey in the professional dog world spans several successful years. With deep roots in canine companionship and a passion that’s only grown stronger over time, Taylor has become a trusted leader in off-leash dog adventures and behaviour-focused care.

Her track record includes working with a wide range of dogs—including those with behavioural challenges—and helping them not only succeed, but thrive in pack environments. Taylor’s compassionate nature and innate ability to connect with both dogs and their people continue to be at the heart of everything we do. Committed to ongoing education and growth, she stays current with best practices in dog behaviour and training, ensuring that every experience is as safe, enriching, and fulfilling as possible—for both the dogs and their humans.

Emma

Emma is our highly experienced animal handler and the proud co owner of Tails and Traills. With a lifelong passion for animals, Emma brings a wealth of hands-on experience from her time as a zookeeper and her work on farms. Her deep love and respect for all creatures shines through in everything she does.

What truly sets Emma apart is her exceptional ability to manage and connect with dogs of all types. From calm companions to high-energy pups, Emma’s calm confidence and deep understanding of animal behavior ensures every hike is safe, structured, and full of fun.

Her personal journey took a transformative turn when she welcomed a highly reactive dog into her life. Determined to help him thrive, Emma dove headfirst into the world of canine behavior and training—studying techniques that go beyond theory and actually work in real life. That journey fueled her dedication to helping dogs live fuller, more balanced lives.

When she’s not out on the trails with the pack, Emma can be found exploring nature with her loyal sidekicks, Bernie and Roger. Whether your pup is joining a group hike or getting some one-on-one adventure time, they’re in the best possible hands with Emma—where care, understanding, and unforgettable experiences come standard.

Allie

Allie is a core part of the Tails and Traills crew—trusted, passionate, and always leading with heart. As a Pack Leader & Top Dog, Allie brings a powerful blend of knowledge, compassion, and intuition to every dog she works with.

Her background in canine behaviour, K9 First Aid, and CPR ensures she’s well-equipped for both the adventures and the unexpected. Allie has a natural ability to tune in to each dog’s unique personality, customizing their experience with patience, care, and a whole lot of love. She’s smart, engaged, and constantly growing in her craft, which makes her a standout both on and off the trail.

Allie’s dedication to the well-being and happiness of every pup is unmatched—and we’re proud to have her leading the way.

Kristin

With a heart as big as her love for animals, Kristin joins us with a wealth of experience and a passion that knows no bounds! Having working closely with magnificent creatures at African Lion Safari and as an animal handler in the film industry, she brings a unique perspective and skill set to our team. 

From the grandeur of big game to the charm of domestic pets, Kristin's journey has been one of dedication and compassion. Her expertise extends to the equestrian world, where she shares her knowledge as a horseback riding instructor. 

Not stopping there, Kristin's love for Siberian Huskies goes beyond profession - its a way of life. As a breeder and proud pawrent of four huskies herself, she embodies the spirit of our mission to celebrate and nurture the bond between humans and their furry companions.

At Tails and Traills, we believe a tired dog is a happy dog — but a socially fulfilled, mentally enriched dog? That’s where the magic really happens. We’re not your average dog walking service. We’re your trusted partner in supporting your dog’s physical health, emotional well-being, and social development.

Tails and Traills was founded by sisters Taylor and Cass Traill, inspired by their shared love for the outdoors and a deep understanding of canine behavior. As the business grew, Emma—who had been involved since the early days—joined them in an ownership role. Together, the three of us continue to expand and evolve Tails and Traills into a space where dogs can build confidence, develop social skills, and truly thrive in a safe, enriching environment.

Our experienced team is made up of trained professionals who specialize in dog behaviour, socialization, and play-based enrichment. 

Our off-leash adventures are more than just exercise — they’re an immersive experience that allows your dog to explore, socialize, and grow in a natural setting. Designed to ignite the senses and encourage positive canine connections, our expertly guided hikes give your pup the freedom to roam, play, and build confidence as part of a well-balanced pack.

Looking for structured support during the day? Our daycare services offer a safe, enriching environment where dogs can socialize, rest, and play under the care of experienced handlers who understand dog behavior and body language. Whether it’s a full day of activity or a chance to decompress in a calm setting, we meet your dog’s needs — not just their schedule.

We also know that good behavior isn’t just taught — it’s nurtured. That’s why we offer professional training services focused on leash manners, recall, and real-world socialization.
